A Partnership Prioritizing Driver Needs and Ultimate Driving Experience

The partnership between Unity and Mazda is a strategic move to leverage Unity’s state-of-the-art technology in enhancing the human-machine interface (HMI) and graphic user interface (GUI) within Mazda’s vehicles. This collaboration signifies an exciting step towards realizing Mazda’s vision of continuous evolution in the cockpit HMI area.

“It’s an honor to partner with Mazda as they leverage Unity’s cutting-edge technology to create new innovations that will prioritize the driver needs, while also delivering the ultimate driving experience for all passengers,” expressed Jules Shumaker, Chief Revenue Officer, Create, at Unity.

Innovating Human-Centric Design with Enhanced Interfaces

Unity’s Industry and Runtime tools will be pivotal in supporting the development of Mazda’s HMI and GUI. By integrating these tools into the car’s operating systems, Mazda aims to create interfaces that are not only intuitive but also contribute to enhancing the safety and convenience of its vehicles. The use of Unity’s technology will streamline the development process, minimizing rework and maximizing operational efficiency.

Mazda’s commitment to a ‘human-centric’ development concept is evident in this partnership. The company is dedicated to evolving the interaction between humans and cars, focusing on safety and convenience through intuitive operation and innovation.

“Mazda is accelerating research and development in all areas under the 2030 Management Policy,” said Michihiro Imada, Mazda’s Executive Officer in charge of Integrated Control System Development. He further elaborated on the company’s commitment to enhancing the ‘Joy of Driving’ and delivering ‘Joy of Living’ through exciting mobility experiences.

Real-Time 3D Technology in Automotive Advancements

Unity’s foray into the automotive industry has seen numerous successful implementations over the past five years. The collaboration with Mazda not only aims to advance HMI but also demonstrates how real-time 3D technology can facilitate long-term transformation plans in automotive manufacturing.

Mazda and Unity’s joint effort exemplifies the potential of digital transformation in the automotive sector. With a focus on enhanced safety features, user-friendly interfaces, and immersive entertainment, this partnership is set to redefine the in-car experience, all underpinned by Unity’s advanced technology.

In conclusion, the Unity-Mazda partnership marks a significant step towards future-proofing the automotive industry. By integrating cutting-edge technology into the in-car experience, they aim to redefine what it means to have a seamless, safe, and enjoyable journey on the road.
